One of the first things I did when I suspected I had been infected with the herpes virus was to fire up my laptop and hit Google looking for herpes photos. It was indeed a scary moment in my life as some of the herpes pictures I saw left me shocked! I was a shivering wreck.

Herpes is not a life sentence!

I would like to emphasize that most of the pictures you will find are most likely “worst case examples” of extreme cases of genital and oral herpes, so please DO NOT PANIC if you come across some photos and pictures of herpes example from people suffering with this condition.

In most cases you will find that the initial outbreak that you first experience is by far the worst you will ever get and that the later outbreaks of genital herpes will be reasonably mild in nature. So when you first do some research, please bear this fact in mind.

Furthermore you will discover that herpes is not a life sentence or the end of you sex life. Once you get to know the virus, and to understand it better you will definitely relax and live a normal life again. Please remember to find photos of genital herpes in the early stages of the outbreak and you will see that in most cases it is experienced as a few blisters that will later burst and become scabs which will dry up and heal in a couple of weeks.

There are many things you can do to learn about the herpes simplex virus that is responsible for causing genital herpes and studying some herpes photos so that you can indeed identify if indeed you have been infected. Your next step should be a visit to your doctor who will do proper tests to confirm if you do or do not have the virus.
