Symptoms of HPV can often be difficult to identify. Probably the worst part of dealing with HPV is that most individuals aren't even aware they have it. While this sounds like a definite misfortune, the positive side of things is that this HPV type is different then the cancerous versions.
One thing to understand about genital warts is that they can form in clusters. In the beginning they look like tiny bumps, but can easily spread and become larger. Women will find these around the anus, on the opening of the cervix, as well as in and out of the vagina. While there are rare cases of finding warts in the throat or mouth, men usually see them on the shaft, the tip of the penis, around the anus, or the scrotum.
